THINGS Offers
THINGS, enabled by our partners, provide high-quality cross-border services for its members including workshops, challenges, acceleration programs, co-pilots, customized events, ecosystem navigation, advice, and matchmaking.
THINGS also arrange open events including its eBazaar™, eXplore™, eXecutive Update™ and Get-On-Top-Of™ series. We are committed to technology driven innovation, which is driving the digital transformation.
Our vision is “to transform innovation in small companies into large scale value creation through collaboration with corporates” and our goal is to enable sustainable business relationships between corporate-ready tech companies and corporates around the world.
Co-Pilot
All corporates are different why they have to figure out themselves how to navigate well through the 10-20 years of digital transformation in front of them. At THINGS our starting point is that collaborating with tech companies is a great way to cost and time efficiently turn tech into business. It’s also a great way to learn new ways of working and maybe increase the clock frequency internally. We have 8 years of experience working internationally with collaboration between corporates and tech companies and we have created our Co-Pilot service to give members an external “friend” with relevant experiences who knows their company and can be brought in at any point as sounding board, advisor, etc.
Acceleration Program
Acceleration programs are quite popular and typically aim at accelerating the development of startups. In our case we use acceleration programs to accelerate use of deeptech in established companies through sustainable business relationships with corporate-ready deeptech companies. Great examples of such acceleration programs are the ones we do in DeepTech Alliance with corporate partners, deeptech investors and selected corporate-ready deeptech companies. Topics for these programs are Industry 4.0, Clean Energy, Satelite data and Urban Mobility.
Challenges
Challenges are an efficient way for organizations to rapidly find solutions to serious challenges, ideas for new customer offerings, partners in new areas or geographies, and to make quick advances into new areas.
The challenge model brings a good structure to such efforts in terms of planning, objectives, resources, engagement, budget, and execution.
This is one of THINGS most popular member services and we have examples of challenges where we primarily have supported the effort, completely managed the challenge and anything in between.
Examples of Challenges we have done are Husqvarna Sustainovate Open, Ellevio’s and Godel’s joint Startup4Climate, FLIR Innovation Challenge and the global Energy Tech Mission by Hitachi Energy. Our USP is our ability to get the best possible companies for the challenge to attend, based on our big international network of deeptech companies and our networking partners.
THINGS Scouting
THINGS Scouting is a new service for our members. It’s an attempt to bring more value to our members by turning their needs into a defined mission for THINGS to work on. The needs could be finding customers, partners, vendors, consultants, solutions, investors or people and when a mission is defined THINGS will only charge for success. Like all our services, Scouting is based on a pay-as-you-go principle simply because we believe that it is a fair model. We charge 1000€ for the efforts to initiate the mission which includes defining success and the commission for it. THINGS Scouting is a great complement to our broader services like challenges and acceleration programs.
