The transition to sustainable energy is no longer a distant goal; it is an immediate global priority. For Swedish-based startups and scaleups, the challenge often lies not in the quality of their innovation, but in the speed at which they can reach the right markets. This is where Sustainable Energy Action (SEA) steps in to bridge the gap between technical viability and commercial scale.

Funded by the Swedish Energy Agency and executed through a powerful collaboration between Sting, THINGS, and Ignite Sweden, the SEA project is specifically designed to support companies with solutions connected to the sustainable energy transition. By removing the financial barrier to entry, the program ensures that the most promising innovations receive the visibility they deserve.

The Power of Strategic Scouting

At the heart of this initiative is the THINGS Scouting™ process. Unlike traditional accelerators that focus solely on internal development, scouting is outward-looking. The primary objective is to open doors to new customers, industrial partners, and strategic connections that are relevant to each selected company’s unique business model.

The project team provides a robust defence against the common pitfalls of scaling. By leveraging an extensive professional network, the program prioritises companies with proven solutions where targeted intervention can make a significant difference in a short period. The focus remains on high-value meetings that lead to tangible growth.

Eligibility and Selection

We are currently seeking applications from startup and scaleup companies that are ready to meet the market. To ensure the most effective collaboration, applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Location: The company must be based in Sweden.
  • Product Maturity: Applicants should have a strong energy-related product or business that is ready for market entry and scaling.
  • Strategic Clarity: Companies must be able to identify the specific key customers or partners they are looking to engage.
  • Compliance: Participants must be eligible to receive de minimis support as specified by the Swedish Energy Agency.

A Continuous Opportunity for Growth

Sustainable Energy Action operates on a continuous evaluation model. Applications are reviewed as they arrive, allowing the project team to move quickly once a company is selected. The process begins with a verification of de minimis requirements, followed by an initial meeting to align goals and begin the scouting activity.

If your company is ready to scale its impact on the energy landscape, we invite you to submit your application and join a network dedicated to sustainable success.
