A Working Lab-THINGS

THINGS House will be part of Akademiska Hus’ development of co-working spaces in Stockholm!

THINGS House, which has acted as a co-working space for startups to build their network, will as of 2022 be part of Akademiska Hus’ co-working concept, A Working Lab. Together the two parties will offer a flexible space for academics and businesses to meet in the heart of KTH campus.

This is for us a “perfect match”; members who sit with us at THINGS will be able to keep growing their companies in the house, and at the same time make use of AWL’s national network with offices in Stockholm, Umeå and Gothenburg! With our continued presence in the THINGS House, we will together with AWL keep creating openings to meet and develop important networks.”

-Linda Krondahl, CEO & Co-Founder, THINGS

The collaboration between THINGS and Akademiska Hus aims to develop A Working Lab-THINGS, which will open at KTH Campus on Drottning Kristinas väg 53 Stockholm, Sweden the 1st of January 2022. With around 1500 m2 of space for co-working, workshops, events and lounge, A Working Lab-THINGS will act as a flexible space for startups and deep tech companies.

The deepened collaboration with Akademiska Hus through AWL THINGS is a great development for all parties, where we at THINGS can completely focus on establishing new sustainable business relationships between sharp Deep Tech-companies and established corporates around the world.

-Magnus Melander, Co-Founder & Evangelist, THINGS

A Working Lab

A Working Lab is Akademiska Hus’ national concept for flexible meeting places with co-working, short term leases, learning lab and more. A Working Lab-THINGS will be Akademiska Hus’ fourth installment of the concept along with similar environments on Campus Solna, Campus Umeå and by Chalmers Campus Johanneberg in Gothenburg.

The collaboration with THINGS makes it possible for both existing THINGS Members and for new prospects to take part of A Working Lab’s national community. You can have your office in Stockholm and yet jump in for a day’s work in Umeå would you like to. Being part of A Working Lab means being part of the network between Sweden’s campuses where competence, experience, booking- and development-fees are gathered in one place and system.

We believe in cooperation and that meetings create possibilities for innovation and development, it is therefor even more exciting to have this opportunity to collaborate with an operation like THINGS. We are convinced that we will together develop the environments for both existing and new members to an important node for innovation targeting corporates and startups within Deep Tech, an environment where it is easy for students, academics and businesses to meet.

Ulf Däversjö, Director of Innovation and sustainable development, Akademiska Hus
